FAQ

What makes Lindsey Wealth Management unique?

Our people make us unique. No one cares how much you know, until you know how much you care. Anyone can invest your money, but the key is giving you the best advice. We use our education and ability to listen to give you the best advice. We believe advice will always trump investments.

Are you a fiduciary?

Yes. A fiduciary is a person who must place the client’s interest ahead of his or her own. Fiduciaries must also disclose what their fees are, how they’re compensated, and any other conflicts or potential conflicts of interest that might influence an individual's decision to use their services. In contrast, non-fiduciary financial advisors (brokers/dealers) might receive a commission in exchange for selling you a particular investment that isn’t the best for you—and not tell you how they’ve profited from it.

What licenses, credentials, or other certifications do you have?

We have the following designations on staff: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Chartered Financial Consultant, Retirement Income Certified Professional, Accredited Estate Planner, Chartered Advisor for Senior Living, Accredited Asset Management Specialist, and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor.

What services do you provide?

We offer both investment management and financial planning.

Who is your custodian?

We use Pershing, LLC as our primary custodian. Pershing, LLC is a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Melon.  Pershing has $1.5 trillion in assets under administration.  The bank of New York Mellon has more than $28 trillion in assets in custody.  Bank of New York Mellon is the world’s largest global custodian.

How do you charge for your services?

We are structured as a Fee-Only Registered Investment Advisor. Will bill quarterly in the arrears based on the average daily account balance that is pro-rated for the quarter. We try to keep your all-in cost below 2%. All-in cost includes our management fee, trading cost, and internal fee of exchange traded funds. To see a full breakdown, please click here or on the Disclosure Brochure at the bottom of the page.

Do you provide Investment Policy Statements?

Yes. We will provide an Investment Policy Statement to clients who have more than $25,000 invested under most circumstances.

What is your investment philosophy?

Our number-one rule is to try not to lose money. We try to mitigate the losses on your investment by managing risk. One of the easiest ways to lower your risk is to move your assets to cash.

What is your minimum account size?

Our minimum is $25,000.

What are the returns on your portfolio?

We do not have a portfolio to steer our clients into. Every client will have different returns depending on the amount of risk they are will to take. The portfolio is custom built to fit you.
